Remastering Old Parsix 3.7r2 - Remix it

Hi All!...

I'm in the process of re-master the old Parsix 3.7r2 for internal Lan use
as an XDMCP and X Remote desktop for testing/Development purposes.

I found this version as the more suitable given that it uses Gnome 2.32.1 (the latest in
that series)...

My main reasons are the following:

1- It is one of the few distros that offers Xnest windowed login, I will extend it to use Xephyr too
2- The kernel is solid and uses a very small foot print when in a Virtual Machine
3- It uses the last Gnome 2.xx version.
4- Maybe update some apps...

But I need information on how to use an COMPATIBLE Repo given that the one bundled with the distro
has already reached the end of life...
It will be ok for me to use the OLD Ubuntu Repos?? if yes what version will be ok? Kamic, (Dapper Drake), (Hardy Heron), (Lucid Lynx)...

Here is the link http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/

I found the instructions on how to change the APT repos of any Bdebian Distro... no problem

So my problem is, what of the above Ubuntu versions will be best to substitute as a Repo for that Parsix
version???
Or there is some Debian Repo that can be used too???

Thanks in advance...

Note I'm well versed in Remastering Linux Distros and all that Jazz...

I would say, 3.7r2 could be binary compatible with Debian Squeeze.
