Scanner not detected

Postby jerry525 » Fri Jul 29, 2011 11:42 am

Hi, I've never had a problem with this before but my scanner is not being detected.

Just after installing Parsix I uninstalled Xsane (without trying it) & installed simple scan my preferred scanner prog. It doesn't work.

So I reinstalled Xsane, still no luck.

Now Skanlite, same issue.

I Have an Epson RX500 all in one printer/ scanner. Printer works fine.

Any help appreciated.

There should be three files. And you have to install them in order or you will get that error. interpreter-gt-f720_0.0.1-2_amd64.deb iscan_2.26.2-1_amd64.deb iscan-data_1.8.0-0_all.deb Hope this will help out. If you are not using 64 bit just ajust for 32 bit

Do a Google search for the interpreter for your scanner. I have a V30 so mine may be different. After i get all the files and apps installed my scanner works great.
Sorry that is all the help i have. Hope you get it working'

Thanks mate but still no luck, I'll just have to keep Ubuntu going maybe until another release.
