When booting from the Parsix GNU/Linux 2.0r0 Live/Install CD (I ordered it from OSDisc.com), I get "failed to detect live media". I have common hardware, and this issue also happens on Debian (fails to detect media in installation procedure). Nforce 430 or so, and the MCP 61 chipset. sata dvd/cd drive and an sata hd methinks.

Is there any way I could get Parsix to work? I ordered a disc from OSDisc.com, and if I don't get it to work that'd be a huge waste.

If it happens with Debian too, something is wrong. Have you tried to test them using another machine?

The media is fine (and yes, I have).

Did you test this CD with "Test CD for defects" option?

I guess your controller is not compatible with 2.6.26 kernel. Because Debian is using the same kernel. Are you able to download an ISO file? Because we are gonna release an experimental version with 2.6.29.1 kernel.
