persistant overlay in parsix?

Postby parasek » Mon Oct 10, 2011 6:03 pm

Hey and hello.

This is my first post.

After trying installing parsix to USB-Stick (it failed, cause grub was installed to my hdd and destroyed a few things...) i decided to create a live-usb-stick. just want to put the iso on the stick (i'll take unetbootin, if you don't suggest another). my problem is, that i don't want to configure parsix again each time i boot.
ubuntu for example has a way to save things which were configured, on a second partition on the usb stick.

is it possible to do the same fpr parsix? (i am not a pro, so question should be "is there an EASY way to .."

thanks for your great linux, the live-dvd works so great, no probs with wireless lan, no problems with gcc, good choice of packages at all and so on.

please give me a hint or just tell me how i can "solve" my prob.

thanks a lot
greetings
:)

Hi, We have a native tool for that. Please see `man parsix-iso2usb` for details. It also supports persistent mode. Let me know if you have any questions.
