Parsix won't boot

Postby InverseSandwich » Mon Oct 07, 2013 6:41 pm

I can't get Parsix to boot. I have just done a fresh install. The live CD worked fine.

The PC just gets stuck on this screen (http://imgur.com/SXlNoHe).

Can someone help?

Thanks in advance.

Does the screen go blank or just stays the way you took the photo?

What is the make and model of the laptop?

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. The screen just stays like that indefinitely.

The laptop is a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo (Can't give you exact model as I'm not at home). Prior to this it was running Ubuntu and Xubuntu with no problems. I used the live CD with no issues (apart from being sluggish, but that's expected with a live CD) and Gparted to repartition my drive.

Before it boots, try editing GRUB boot line and remove:

Code: Select all
init=/bin/systemd

So it defaults to Sysvinit. This might help.
