Postby hadian » Fri Jun 26, 2009 10:06 am

i have installed packages for creating a pptp VPN connection (network-manager-pptp and linux-pptp) but i can not find how to create the acount.

Here its the same way. You are using Boss or Kev? you need to install all network-manager related packages including:

Code: Select all
network-manager
network-manager-gnome
network-manager-openvpn
network-manager-openvpn-gnome
network-manager-pptp
network-manager-pptp-gnome
network-manager-vpnc
network-manager-vpnc-gnome

If planning to use pptp only, do not need openvpn and vpnc packages. When you are done, should start network-manager daemon:

Code: Select all
ln -sf /etc/init.d/network-manager /etc/rc5.d/S99network-manager

Restart GNOME, network manager icon should be there. To completely migrate to NM, edit your /etc/nwtwork/interfaces file and only leave lo interface there.

Let me know if this fixed your issue.
