Thanks for your background image, I have added it to wiki:
http://www.parsix.org/html/index.php?mo ... ag=ArtWork

I tried to send you private message asking for gimp source file, but I'm not sure if private messages work in this forum. Did you receive it?
- If yes, then you could try send private message to me about gimp source file link.
- If no, then you could post it to this forum thread, and after I have added it to my webpage and posted message about it, remove your link.

Thanks for your great artwork! :)

This is a nice piece of work. I also have created numerous backgrounds and themes for Parsix that I am happy to share. I have already uploaded some of my themes to Gnome-look.org, but I would be willing to keep the rest of them exclusive to the Parsix community if you're interested in them. PM me or otherwise post any interest. :-)
AMD Phenom II 64 X6 1090T Black Edition Hexa-Core
8192 MB DDR2 RAM
nVidia GeForce 210 w 1024 MB DDR2
Sabayon 6.x 64 Bit KDE Edition, (Limbo enabled)
Parsix (Debian Testing) GNU/Linux
Compiz-Fusion

[--x--]:
I have now added blender and gimp sources to parsixblue page (2nd background page), and also modified 1st background page to have bigger screenshots, and removed some unneeded text.

I'm wondering if someone could give me a clarification about something. Under the logo guidelines on the aforementioned wiki post it clearly states that deforming the logo (stretching or distorting) or straying from the official color palette is prohibited. Yet, in the artwork section, the only two pieces of artwork posted contains a huge deformed Parsix logo (glassy 3D appearance and laying on its side) and another one which has obviously strayed from the color palette (dark hues of blue.) Don't get me wrong, these pieces of artwork are great. I'm just wondering under what circumstances one needs to adhere to the logo guidelines and when one is free to stray from them for artistic purposes. Thanks for the clarification (and also thanks for the great artwork!)

As far as I know it applies to logo usage not artworks like desktop background or GDM. In other word if you're going to tattoo Parsix LOGO on your skin please don't stretch it :P but if you like to design an artwork for Parsix do what you like to do.
